Privacy Policy
Effective date: April 29, 2026
Synara LLC ("Synara," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect from you, how we use it, who we share it with, and your rights regarding that information. It applies to synaraautomation.com (the "Site") and the SMS-based AI assistant services we provide to restaurants and their staff (the "Service").
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Demo requests and inquiries — when you contact us through the Site (currently via email link), we receive your name, email address, role, restaurant name, and any details you choose to share.
- Onboarding information — for restaurants that sign up for the Service, we collect business contact information, menu data, employee rosters and contact information (with the restaurant's authorization), and operational preferences.
- SMS messages — when staff or owners text the Service, we receive the message content and the sending phone number in order to respond.
Information collected automatically
- Site analytics — our hosting provider (Netlify) records standard server logs including IP addresses, user-agent strings, and request paths for security and operational purposes.
- Cookies — the Site does not currently set first-party tracking cookies. Third-party fonts and CDN scripts may be loaded by your browser as part of normal page rendering.
2. How we use information
- To respond to inquiries and provide demos.
- To deliver the Service to restaurant clients (training answers, shift coverage routing, schedule management, review-response drafting).
- To send SMS messages to restaurant staff and owners as part of the Service they have opted into.
- To improve the Service — including reviewing message content to identify gaps in our coverage of menu items, allergen information, and brand voice.
- To communicate with you about your account, billing, and material changes to the Service.
- To comply with applicable law and to protect our rights and the rights of our clients.
3. SMS messaging program disclosures
This section describes our SMS-based service in detail. By texting our service phone number or by being added to a restaurant's roster as an authorized recipient, you are consenting to receive SMS messages from Synara as described below.
Program description
Synara sends operational SMS messages on behalf of participating restaurants. Messages may include training prompts, menu information, allergen walkthroughs, shift coverage requests and confirmations, schedule notifications, and administrative messages from a restaurant's manager or owner.
Opt-in
You opt in by being added to a participating restaurant's authorized roster (with your knowledge), or by initiating a text conversation with our service number. Your phone number is provided to us by your employer or by you directly for the purpose of receiving these operational messages.
Message frequency
Message frequency varies based on your role and the restaurant's operations. Servers may receive several messages per shift; owners may receive a handful of approval requests or review drafts per week.
Opt-out
You can opt out of SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. After opting out, you will no longer receive operational messages from Synara. Reply START to opt back in.
Help
Reply HELP at any time to receive assistance and contact information.
Cost
Message and data rates may apply. Standard rates from your wireless carrier apply to all messages sent and received.
Carriers
Wireless carriers (including but not limited to AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and their subsidiaries) are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
No sale or sharing of SMS data
We do not sell, rent, or share your phone number, message content, or SMS opt-in information with third parties for marketing purposes under any circumstances. SMS message data is used only to operate the Service for the restaurant you have a relationship with.
4. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:
- Service providers who help us operate the Service — including Netlify (website hosting), Twilio (SMS infrastructure), Anthropic (AI inference), and Calendly (if used for scheduling). Each is contractually limited to using your information solely to provide their service to us.
- The restaurant you have a relationship with — for example, if you are a server at a participating restaurant, your employer can see relevant operational information about your interactions with the Service in the normal course of business.
- Legal authorities when required by law, subpoena, or to protect our rights or the safety of others.
5. Data retention
We retain operational data (menu Q&A history, coverage requests, review drafts) for as long as we have an active service relationship with the restaurant, plus a reasonable archival period for backup, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. SMS opt-out records are retained indefinitely to honor your opt-out preference.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port the personal information we hold about you. To make such a request, email us at ericsynara@outlook.com and we will respond within a reasonable time. California residents have additional rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), including the right to know what categories of information we collect and to opt out of any "sale" of personal information (we do not sell personal information).
7. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards to protect your information, including encryption in transit (TLS), access controls on internal systems, and routine review of our data flows. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, however, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Children
The Service is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can delete it.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we'll update the "Effective date" at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you by email or SMS.
